Primula sieboldii ‘Dancing Ladies’
Light pink flecked or striped with dark pink flowers on shorter stalks than most varieties. Sieboldii are open woodland plants and have been bred in Japan since the 16th Century. They need some shade and do not like the midday sun. Soil that does not dry out and is rich in organic matter is preferable. They die back in early Autumn and go dormant. Sieboldii form rhizomes, crowns, just beneath the surface and are easy to divide.. Delicate looking light green leaves appear in February. Despite the appearance these are tough hardy plants. Available in a 9cm pot.
